Lovely site

Although I'm going on a 5 day trip up the Amazon I thought I would visit the gardens, or more rather park. There are some nice walks through the park wonderful atmosphere and stunning sights with hues of green and earthy browns. Some potentially useful ideas like the orchid house, vivarium, but these need some investment. What was good was to see the use by local people. Taxi out in expensive, and as on edge of City few taxis around and few decent buses, but my driver could see it was good money for him so came back at pre arranged time.

Poorly Kept
Nov. 2019
This large park is more of an arboretum than a botanical garden. The best thing about the garden is the observation tower. This tall climb gets you above the canopy level for an expansive vista. But there just aren't that many plants nor are the special plant houses open. The lily pond needs severe upkeep and the fish tanks are just sad.

Amazing forest
Nov. 2019 • Family
We did a walk through without a guide and ended up spending more than 5 hours there as we discovered things on our own. Most of the explanations are also in English. The fact that the "temporary" exhibitions (some from 2012) were only in Portuguese was disappointing for us, especially the kids. There were lots of butterflies and we even came across a tiny snake on the path. The view from the tower was amazing, plus going up the tower really helped you see the different layers of the forest.

Really amazing Gardens.

I love Botanic Gardens, and the Manaus one did not disappoint. Its a really good way to see the Amazon without actually visiting it. There's also a tall observation deck that allows you to see trees and the forest from different levels.
There's also a pond with water Lillies, an aquarium and a display about indigenous life.
I would highly recommend you visit here.

Good Botanic Garden

This place is nice to visit, but for us was not really impressive. We visited Musa after jungle trip. If you didn't visited jungles - I am recommending Musa, but not after jungle tour.
Only one point that was interesting to see Manaus from the tower.

We did see monkeys
Jan. 2019 • Couples
Lots of them. We were there first thing in the morning when it was still cool(ish). Otherwise, a pretty place to spend an hour or so.

The jungle inside the city
Jan. 2019 • Couples
If you are in the city, and just want to spend a few hours in the jungle, this is an amazing option! There is a 50 meters tower that you can go up and see many kilometers of wild jungle from above. There are nice hikes and attractions, art and cultural exhibition, coffee and snacks...

An experience with the Amazon Forest
Aug. 2018 • Solo
If you do not have time to go to the Amazon forest, I recommend you visit MUSA. It is well organized with lots of informative posts. When you climb the tower you'll reach the canopy of the forest. You will hear the noise of the forest as well. It is worth it

A small taste of the Amazon Rainforest
Feb. 2018 • Couples
A very knowledgeable member of staff (and Masters student) showed us round this area of forest sealed off from the sprawling Manaus urban development. The tower is a great way to look down on the canopy but requires a certain level of fitness to climb the stairs and not for those who don't like heights.
The flora is especially interesting and while the fauna is unusual, don't expect to see too many rare creatures during your visit. Probably the best time is at dawn or dusk for a chance to see the best wildlife.
Our group couldn't stay as long as we wanted to but we could easily have spent two to three hours here.
Tip: Go up the tower early in the day to avoid the afternoon heat if you can.
