The theatre brings to the city an excellent opportunity to get in touch and see part of the history of Brazil. With a huge French influence, the architecture and its material used in the construction makes this building probably the most luxurious place of Manaus....More

Beautiful, very well preserved, and very a interesting guided tour (don't miss it). Haven't seen a performance there, but other tourists told me it's definitely worth the time, with excellent acoustics.

I truly enjoyed visiting this theatre. They offer toys in English and the duration was appropriate for young children. It is a beautiful landmark and a must see in Manaus.

A beautiful building and very informative tour. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Manaus. On the day we visited the symphony was practicing and it was lovely to sit and listen for awhile in addition to the tour.

To be honest, I can't remember. I do recall that there are certainly lots of steps and stairs and some of the internal doorways are a little narrow. The staff at the theatre are very helpful so I would suggest that you try... More
