Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Difficult to reach if you do not have a car. However, it is an option to go there with public transport, as there is a bus leaving from the parking at Stare Stanica in downtown Banja Luka. At 9AM and 12AM (noon) on weekdays. During the weekend I was told there is only one at 12AM (noon). It costs 3.80 KM one way and takes 40 minutes. The timings of a return bus from Krupa were not clear to me. I took a bus back at 13:55 (1:55 PM). There should be another one at 4:30PM.
The small cascades are nice. There is a trail along the river which you can follow until it ends in jungle terrain. Supposedly there is another way forward, but I did not find it (poorly marked). There is a trail to a nearby monastery as well. It is just 1 km away (gradually up). There is no info board with a detailed map of the surroundings. Just a general map of Bosnia with the Dinarica trails.
Some local women were selling cheese and other stuff at the cascades.

It’s a beautiful place to calm down a little bit and listen to the water coming down the mountain. Don’t expect too much from this location as it is really small and anyway nice place to visit and rest for 1 or 2 hours. It’s next to the River Vrbas and you can stopover easily

The nature in Krupa is rwally beautiful and is near to Banja Luka. Close to the waterfalls is the orthodox monastery made of stones. It is worth to visit it.

Beautiful. Nothing else needs to said. Whether driving to this location from the south or north the scenery is unspoiled and gives a true sense of nature. Nearby Krupa Na Vrbas has some nice spots near the river to eat and drink. Spring and early autumn best times to visit, can be VERY hot in high summer.

When driving from Banja Luka to Jajce, once you reach Krupa na Vrbasu look for signs pointing right from the main road to "Slapovi Krupe" (white lettering on brown background). You can leave the car on the parking lot in front of the supermarket on the main road and walk for 20-25 minutes up the hill or you can drive right following the sign and, once you reach after a couple of hundred meters a small parking lot on your right, take the road that forks to the left (once there stood a wooden sign, but it has fallen down) and slightly down the hill that will lead you right to the waterfalls zone (there is a small parking lot barely enough for 10 cars).
The waterfalls and the mills represent a very peaceful and romantic spot to stroll around (there are also tables and benches for picnic) and explore old mills. They are still active and offer excellent freshly ground flour, don't forget to try freshly prepared "Heljdini ustipci with kajmak".

We were visiting Banja Luka in December and visited these falls. They are not particularly large but extremely interesting in their formation. Hiking nearby seems exceptionally enticing in warmer weather. There is a restaurant adjacent to the parking lot. It is slightly off the beaten path and we would have liked more time as it was nearing sunset but were able to enjoy ourselves in the short time that we had.

We parked our car on the main road and went down the hill but later on discovered the waterfalls are also easily accessible from the street (with parking lot available). The falls are pure nature's miracle, looking great and peacefull and really worth the hike. You can buy varius types of flour that is being produced in a small mill that sits next to Krupa waterfalls. Don't forget to wear heavy duty shoes cause the paths are rocky and muddy.

One of the most beautiful places near Banja Luka. Waterfalls like smal Plitvice in Croatia. Few water mills where you can buy cornflour.
Near it there is orthodoks monestry fro XIII century. Water is 12 C during whole year.
