Climb the stairs and stand right by the lock and dam to watch the barges and boats go through. Very interesting and beautiful view.

It is so cool to watch the huge barges go through the lock and dam. I wish I lived closer so I could take my grandsons more often.

My kids were in heaven. The train bridge was awesome to go over unless you were terrified of heights like my youngest child and husband. Chatting with barge folks was awesome. Highly recommend to all.

We were lucky enough to get to view the lock and dam in action as a houseboat was traveling downstream. We range in ages from 10 - 67 and we all enjoyed watching and learning!
