Stopped here on our way to Arlington cemetery. Got off on the blue line pentagon stop and walked around the pentagon. Very somber and moving. We were here at 7:30 in the morning, and we were the only ones. The memorial is very well thought...More

It was a beautiful place where we could learn about the victims of 9/11. I highly recommend this visit.

The Pentagon Memorial is a special place. So well done and incredibly moving. It was an honor to be able go and see it. It’s so important for everyone, young and old, to remember what happened and remember those that were lost.

This was a extremely well done. Each bench represents an individual that died during the attack...both on the plane and in the Pentagon. The benches are arranged by birth year and are positioned either towards the Pentagon or towards where the plane was coming from...More

This is perhaps one of the most moving memorials I have every visited. The symbolism of each victims mini memorial is amazing. This should be number 1 on the list of things to see in Washington. Amazing place. I felt honoured to be able to...More

For those old enough to remember 911, this was a must-see. It’s a very somber place with many reminders of the lives lost. Be sure to pick up the info page before you walk in so you know what each thing means.

As understanding the simplicity and importance to those who lost their lives on that day, this particular sight in my opinion was the least exciting unless I missed something that gives the overall educational experience to this sight in comparison to the NYC and PA...More

This is a great memorial but you won't fully understand it unless you take the tour at the Pentagon. It has something to do with the direction the plane was fling and the direction the passengers were at and the building of the Pentagon. So...More

Just make sure you know that pictures are not permitted toward the Pentagon. You can take pictures of the memorial, but not the Pentagon.

The easiest way is to get onto the Metro (if I remember correctly, there’s a blue line right there at that hotel) and get off at the Pentagon stop. From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon... More

Yes, but it's not well-marked. There is a sidewalk from behind the Cemetery's service complex (southeast corner of the Cemetery) that goes along Columbia Pike and then under Washington Blvd into the entrance area for the... More
