We visit here every so often - the kids loved it when they were young. The displays are fun to see, the aquariums interesting to watch, the staff friendly and not overpowering with info, and the paths through the woods are kept up (no wheelchairs/strollers)....More

Lovely nature center, close to the beltway, but tucked into the woods. They offer a large exploration room for kids, plus have seasonal activities every week. Best for kids 4+ in age for the activities like afternoon tea or scavenger hunts, but our son (3)...More

Took our grandchildren (ages 2 and 7) and they loved it. Very interactive with opportunities to see turtles and snakes behind glass as well as to hear various bird sounds. Climbing area inside and trails and activity areas outside.
