Beautiful winery/vineyard to visit. The tasting was enjoyable. The wines are all fairly mild tasting, so it's a great place for someone just getting into wines. They do offer cheese and cracker plates if you want to have a nice snack to enjoy the wines with. There are plenty of places both inside and out to sit and enjoy. I... More

This is a lovely vineyard in the country with an array of fine wines to taste and a picturesque landscape. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio that overlooks the vineyard after our tasting.

We had reservations for a large group and were lucky enough to have Amy-the owners daughter-as our tour guide and to do our wine tasting. Amy is funny and extremely knowledgeable about everything at the winery and welcomes any and all questions. We also got to meet her Dad-Al-and ask him a few questions too. Great time here and would... More

We stopped at Gray Ghost Winery on our way home from a weekend at Shenandoah National Park. Their winery is small but pet and child friendly. We enjoyed the whites and the historical back-story to the name of the vineyard and various bottles. Very friendly operators and convenient on 211.

My wife did a tasting while I looked around and learned about Confederate John Mosby and his Rangers. Nice place and nice people.

This is a great stop along the Virginia Wine Trail. This is a quiet tasting room with very friendly and well informed servers. We tasted 8 white wines for $5 - which is a great deal. Their wines are made in a dry style, which I appreciated. They also have a really nice patio with beautiful plants, ideal to enjoy... More

What a fantastic winery, from the owner (Al), the staff, the wines, the hors d'oeuvres, all the way to and including the ambiance, this place is 5 star. Go on a tour, taste the wines, buy some of those delicious wines, then take one or two bottles with a platter of cheeses, bread, and sausages outside and just relax. If... More

8 tastings for $5! What a deal! We found this quaint place after hiking Old Rag and learned about who the true "Gray Ghost" was. Random and a lucky find. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area. They ran out of their Cabernet Franc which was unexpected but left with their 2013 Ranger Reserve (blend of... More
