The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Dressed in historic clothing he explained the artifacts in the museum and described situation and events of the time. An enjoyable visit of the museum and civil war federal fort.

This nice convenient park is a great place to stroll or just relax at one of the numerous picnic tables. The .6 mile, circular, slightly hilly terrain is perfect for walking, jogging or dog walking. Parking is plentiful and the on-site museum is an added...More

A smallish park built around remains of an old civil war fort. It also had a small but interesting free museum. Nice place for a stroll and to let kids run around.

Fort Ward is a quality small historical area with plenty of green space and ideal for pet walking. Would suggest going early on weekends as it is well used by local walkers.

Nice, quiet park for a picnic lunch and letting the kids play. Entrance was a little tough to find because our GPS wasn't showing us the right place to enter, but look for the yelllow museum building to get into the park.

I work across the street from this park, and I use to live across the street from it. It has a playground for the kids, an amphitheater for cool summer concerts, and there are restrooms on both sides of the park. This is an excellent...More
