Very nice walk along the Potomac River. Plenty of places to take photos and enjoy the scenery. The walk is in mostly residential area or inside parks. So, access to restaurants (and bathrroms) is limited.

End of King Street and in front of the Torpedo Factory. A few great restaurants nearby. Great views of National Harbor, the Potomac, the Alexandria Harbor, and everyone walking around in that area. If you don't visit, then it is really tough to say that you visited Alexandria, VA.

At the foot of King Street, Old Town Waterfront is a nice way to spend a beautiful morning or afternoon. There are restaurants all around the waterfront and of course the wonderful Torpedo Factory Gallery. Opportunities for people (and dog) watching abound!

I think that "Absolutely beautiful" sums up everything about the old town part of Alexandria. Wonderful place to visit.

During the day lunch on the water is great, plus strolling through the Torpedo factory galleries is terrific and many have great views of the Potomac River. At night after dinner you can walk through here or catch a boat ride or listen to musicians.

There seemed to be just a short stretch of freely-accessible public waterfront at one end of King Street. Decent views, nothing special, just worth a brief pause. Less than 2 minutes walk to the free Trolley stop.

The Alexandria waterfront is always festive. Whether you are just people watching, catching the Buskers do their majic, sing or play an instrument. There is a Balloon Man for the kids, a couple of artists drawing caracatures for a donation and then there's the Torpedo Factory. No visit to Alexandria would be complete without visiting the waterfront.

Lovely town, lovely riverfront, don't miss it! King St is worthwhile walking it all the way. Beautiful sunset.

This area has been modernized with shops and restaurants, but the charm and special appeal of this area is truly wonderful. In the summer there are entertainers on the Waterfront. Chart House restaurant and others are very good. This may be the highlight of your trip to DC. I've lived here my whole life and still feel the special nature... More

We visited the Old Town and then went to the waterfront. Very relaxing and some lovely views. OK its just another waterfront, but it is well worth visiting if you are in the area.
