No visit to Alexandria would be complete without a visit to one of the oldest churches in continental America. So many historical 'greats' have worshiped here, including George Washington. Come see the pews which have seated those leaders and who have led the many changes which have transpired over 200 years.

Washington went to church here when he was in the area. His pew is still there (along with Gen. Lee's). This is a beautiful piece of Early American history.

Just to know some of our forefathers went to church here is amazing. It is a beautiful building inside and out and has so much history.

A very interesting place, loaded with history. The tour guides were terrific. Would highly recommend. Although one tour guide made an unnecessary crack about President Trump that we didn't appreciate. Otherwise very interesting.

Christ church is located on N. Washington St. The trolley stops on Main Street and from there is a short walk to the church. I arrived after the tour started. The tour guide and the visitors were inside the church and seated by the time I arrived. A gentleman asked me to join the tour. Donations accepted for the tour.... More

A nice church with very pleasent and helpful staff. Have not attended church services here but have attended several other events. Easy access but parking can be hard to find and it is expensive.

Humbling to stand in the same church that George Washington and Robert E Lee worshiped. A beautiful building!

Whether you come to Christ Church just to have a look inside, or to participate in a worship service, you might get goose bumps when you realize how many distinguished forefathers have sat in the exact same pew before you, and you will have an opportunity to meditate on the divine providence that put people like George Washington in the... Stopped in after breakfast Sunday morning. Was warmly greeted by not only the ushers but the parishioners. Church has a warm comforting feel to it.

Yes, you really can. This is the church George Washington went to. This is the church so many of our founding fathers went to. This was the church that Robert E. Lee and his family attended. So much history - of our country and of the Episcopal Church - is wrapped up in this church. The docents are extremely knowledgeable.
