We visited Abingdon again and enjoyed several performances at the Barter Theater! The Cottage was outstanding and hilarious! Footloose was full of energy with great dancing! Cinderella was enjoyed by the grand children and Leaving Iowa was hilarious for the entire family.

Saw Footloose. I was underwhelmed. Very bad wigs on the performers that seemed completely unnecessary for the play. Lead actress had microphone taped on center of forehead which was super distracting. Over priced for the quality of the performance.

We saw The Cottage on Saturday evening. It was really funny and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Always a great time.

We had great front row seats, but if you are broad-shouldered (maybe 42-44" shoulders or more), prepare to be a little strapped for space. You will get to know your neighbor well! I heard the lady behind me talk about having too little legroom, but...More

Hi Lisa, shows can vary in length, but they usually run somewhere between 90 minutes and a little over two hours. There is typically an intermission, especially with longer shows. Player shows can run a little shorter, since... More
