Alta is amazing, tons of terrain for everyone, well run, great skier etiquette, plenty of bowls and if the snow is good, hike up to Catherine's Pass -- stunning views, challenging terrain, beautiful fluffy pillowy powder goodness

I have skied here for many years and not much has changed. This area offers the most challenging skiing available in the little cottonwood area. Not much in the way of frills and no big gondolas or large chair lifts. Lots of black and double...More

Beautiful ski runs in a picturesque setting. Was very happy with how we were outfitted with brand new Head and Tyrolia rental gear. Rental prices quite reasonable.

This place is not for the mild at heart. There are some easy ways down but this is place where excellent skiers can be challenged. It is beautiful many faceted terrain usually with reliable snow. I would come back again -- definitely.

My friend loves Alta, so she strongly recommend us to go to Alta for Spring Break. We were not disappointed! We went there on the last week of March. Not only Alta has a big base of snow, it had fresh snow three times during...More

Even though tits old time charm of slow lifts and quaint facilities is gone, this is still the best skiing in the USA. The feeling is anti-Aspen (not that Aspen is bad, but Aspen is very, how do you say it, regal.) Instead, Alta is-down-to-earth....More

Love skiing there - always good snow, rarely crowded, can usually find some powder. No snowboarders. Not a fancy base, this is essentially an old school classic ski resort. If you've never skied here - it is a must. Prices are fairly good compared to...More

Skied there on January 2017, it was an amazing experiences. I am an intermediate skier so I cant really go to the Black or double Black which is sucks because normally those tracks are the longer ones. Thats not the case in Alta, they have...More

As a family we have returned to Alta for many, many years. We like the convenience of the mountain from parking the car to the use of chairlifts. The snow is amazing with an average of 500 inches each season. For those who prefer groomers...More

Alta seems to be a little more advanced, I would hesitate to take my family there that doesn't do steep and fast. Same with Snowbitd.
