On a recent visit to Austin (we loved Austin, btw), my husband and I felt the need to get out of the city and take in the quiet countryside. We planned an afternoon in Driftwood. First and foremost for the Salt Lick BBQ that everyone was telling us we had to try. We also wanted to find time to stop... More

I recommend you stop by Fall Creek and try their great wines and enjoy their patio. They are one of the early pioneers in the Texas Wine industry and the quality really shows in their wines! Also while in the area, stop across the street at The Salt Lick Bar-B-Q for some of the best Bar-B-Q in the area.

Fall Creek was recommended to us by more than one person, and we arrived just about 30 minutes before they closed on a Monday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, taking their time to explain each of the wines in our flight and allowing us time to enjoy their lovely grounds. We really enjoyed each of the wines... Having an outlet on the Main Street in Fredericksburg is some smart marketing. More to the point, it will remind you on your way out of town to perhaps drop in for the real experience. The tasting room itself is modern in it's lay out and bigger than I would of first thought looking at the storefront from the outside.... More

During our wine tour of the Texas Hill Country, Fall Creek had the entire package covered! Great ambiance - the entire setting and experience, wines and true appreciation of customers' patronage were second to none! Courtney Williamson (Director of Ops) replaced a broken wine glass that I purchased, no questions asked. It was one of the nicer ones I bought... More

We visited a large number the supposedly best vineyards in Hill Country, based on various tourist oriented sites and wine articles. None of them impressed. Finally, one of the wineries we visited in the Driftwood area told us we needed to go to Fall Creek. Boy were they right! We had noticed this winery earlier in the day when we... More

Great experience. Michelle suggested the perfect food and wine pairings and provided awesome customer service. I brought home a few bottles including the delicious Chenin Blanc. Beautiful country scenery just south of Austin- outdoor patio, indoor patio or inside seating gives lots of choices.

We stopped at the Fall Creek Winery because it was located across the street from the Salt Lick and we decided to enjoy a bottle of wine before our dinner reservation. Our experience with Texas wines proved to be dated as the wines we tried were amazing. Personal favorite was their 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon-Sangiovese-Merlot blend which proved to be outstanding...
