this garden is very nice and relaxing. There is a spot in their Japanese garden section where you can sit and take in the view of the city... its like being away yet so close. I would recommend this place if you need to just enjoy nature without having to travel far from the city.

This garden is great for wandering, bringing the kids, finding a quiet spot to read or think, sharing with visitors, discovering with your significant other. Maintained by local gardeners it is always in tip-top shape. Beautiful grounds and lots of educational tidbits throughout.

The garden is master-planned, beautiful and relaxing. Is a good place to visit with kids, or on your own to find serenity. We like coming here, it is very enjoyable. It could be crowded during the week-ends and Zilker Park events, but even then it allows you to breath in and out.

It is a nice place to go and take pictures and see some nice plants and water features. I went with the family and we really enjoyed it.

What an absolutely beautiful place. Walks in short sections through a Japanese Garden, a prehistoric forest, a rose garden and a section of succulents that give you a whole new appreciation of cacti. The only issue we had was bug bites. Some pretty darn bad ones that started popping up right away. Take bug spray. This is a place you... More

This is a relatively small botanical garden. The place is divided into several themed area, some more interesting than others. I came here in the morning, so the place was quiet and there were not many other visitors. Didn't see many flowers or wildlife (butterflies, etc.) here, could be this wasn't the season for flowers. While there were directions along... More

We were driving around the city on our last day in town and stopped at the gardens on a whim. Great place. It was very peaceful and full of interesting exhibits especially the Japanese gardens. Well worth the visit.

Well thought out trails with themed gardens and Austin history. The dinosaur garden is like taking a walk in a quiet and still Jurassic Park.
