Wasn't expecting a lot at this ( senior discount ) price but it was an excellent experience. Especially liked the oriental and primitive gardens. Just a wonderful place to wander around for an hour. Nice vistas of the city skyline too. Well worth the trip.

This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. There are literally thousands of plant species and even a separate rose garden.

Rose and herb gardens are nice. The waterfall in the prehistoric garden is awesome for taking pictures.

Perhaps it was just the time of the year but there weren’t many flowers in November. Still, it was a serene walk on a Monday morning with some nice flowers. Lots of pretty butterflies in the butterfly garden. Saw very few roses. Watch out for...More

If you love Botanical Gardens this is just beautiful! My favorite was the Japanese gardens. Large gardens and lots of walking. LOVED it.

Even though my trip was after prime flower season, I still really enjoyed our walk through this garden. it's big, we didnt quite get to see it all. it's dog friendly as long as they are on a leash.

32 garden clubs collaborated to make this park. Great specimen plants for Texas regions. Butterfly gardens in full buzz. Fun to walk through the Cretaceous Prehistoric Garden. Super low admission price. Found cool swag in the gift shop.

While there are no picnic tables, I doubt that anyone on staff will tell you to get out if they see you eating. Definitely no fires.

I wish there were but at this time there is no cafe or restaurant. There are many restaurants down the street toward Lamar Boulevard.
