It was a nice botanical garden, with different types of gardens along the paths such as a Japanese garden. Some water with fish, turtles. Not so unusual as botanical gardens go but we a great time here.

The Koi and native plant gardens are my favorite. The rose garden always looks a little unhealthy to me but the rest of the grounds are just beautiful.

The gardens were very beautiful! We really enjoyed walking through the garden and taking pictures. Parking was very tight and hard to find when we drove through. The price for us to get in was about $4 per person and was cash only.

Beautiful Gardens for browsing for choosing plants for your own garden. Can be extremely hot to visit during the afternoons in May. Take plenty of drinking water and wear good walking shoes, as the paths can be uneven at times. Plenty of shade provided by beautiful trees. Would recommend the butterfly garden. Easy access, plenty of parking. 26 acres sounds... More

I went there this week because I read it's one of the highlights in Austin. Unfortunately this experience was very disappointing. The entrance area looks very nice but as soon as you walk in you'll see they don't really take care of the park. All the walkways are full of old leaves and the ponds have green slime in the... I went here for a festival and it was so beautiful, the flowers were so magical and the weather was perfect lots of vendors and lots of activities to do and see in the park itself.

Huge garden area with plenty to see. Great for pictures, I saw a lot of prom pics taking place there while walking around. I will definitely be back again.

This is an absolutely beautiful garden, with paths, ponds, waterfalls, and greenery of many kinds. Small enough for a short visit.

Had a photography class in Austin and part of our assignment was to go to Zilker and come back with some pictures base on what we'd learned. It doesn't seem like a big garden but it was nice. Some water features, rose garden (a little on the light side in April), very good Japanese garden with koi ponds and bamboo... More
