Very easy process, I liked that I didn't have to make any kind of reservation, or call ahead at all. My husband and I only had a couple hours to spend in Austin and we found the SUP to be very enjoyable. Affordable, and we were given a nice military discount. There was plenty of properly functioning equipment, I would... More

People very friendly. The kayaks we rented were in great shape. And the staff helping us to get in and out of the kayaks were just great!!! Loved the trip and exercise in the morning!!!

This is a have to stop. usually our first stop as soon as we get to town. Shake off the travel duds, pop on the trunks and hit the water. 20 bucks may be a little higher than tubing but the lake is so nice and no dragging the board around waterfalls our packed shuttles back to your car. relaxing,... Stopped in to rent a kayak and SUP for the three of us. Pulled in to front and found that there was only parking for staff on premises. Annoyed, we unloaded our stuff and wife went to rent the gear while I drove a few blocks over to park (PAID parking athe Mex/American center). Going on a kayak and paddleboard... More

I recently visited Austin and had walked along town lake. When I found out there were outfitters that rented kayaks, I knew I would be coming back. So for Mother's Day my husband, my two teenage sons and I went kayaking on town lake/Lady Bird Lake. We rented four single kayaks. A little pricey, but I had such a blast... More

My friend and I have never Paddleboarded and thought we would try it. You can't be the price or the service at Texas Rowing Center. We had so much fun and recommend to others.

This was one of my favorite things about visiting Austin. We went kayaking and had a blast. There are lots of people in the water around you, but there's enough room so that it isn't crowded. The scenery from the water is beautiful, and you can see the skyline really well.

During a visit to Austin I went to the Texas rowing center. You can rent kayaks canoes or paddle boards. The prices vary from about $10 to $15. This depends on the type of equipment you rent. They supply the life jackets also. It is located on lake Austin. This activity can be enjoyed by all family members.

The lake is calm, the people are friendly, the scenery is perfect.Parking at times can be difficult when high school is in session. We went on a Monday which was perfect for kayaking but not for parking.Maybe there was parking in another area,we did not check. There were a lot of joggers/walkers in the park.We signed a paper, paid and off we went.The... More
