We enjoyed this area! We stayed at the Embassy Suites and dined here. Cool and eclectic area with great shops and restaurants. We enjoyed Gueros. Lots of choices . It was interesting to us how the people park their cars....diagonally and backed in.

Great ability to spontaneously pop in to a venue and listen to live music. Started out with a meal at torcheys then walked north and took in the sites.

Nice place to walk, explore, shop and eat. Relaxed and easy to navigate. A good place to while away a couple of hours.

Really enjoyed breakfast at NoSe cafe, then walked around the area checking out the shops. It's a good place to see some of the 'weird' that Austin has to offer.

A lot of fun restaurants, shops and bars. Not as boisterous as 6 Street but still a lot to do. Parking is a problem, the city should provide more parking places even if you have to pay.

This area was fun to visit for an hour or so. The shops were very, very expensive. I saw a pair of 'Daisy Duke' type of shorts which I thought would be cute for my 17 year old granddaughter - faded and with rips in...More

Lots of cute, fun stores and places to eat. Need to rent a car for Austin, as they don't have Uber. No grocery places, either.

A most enjoyable meal had in their outside garden. Waitress was efficient and knew her menu and was able to assist with a meal suitable for a diabetic in our group. We didn't have to wait too long for our meals which were really tasty....More

We were lead to believe that this was a great shopping area, and it did have some eclectic shops, definitely not the normal, however, not a lot of affordable, airplane accessible, memorable shopping items, not the place to get your take home from Austin, unless...More

We were told it's a must see. Unfortunately, by the time we got there most stores were closing. There were a few nooks and crannies along the strip that were great for taking phots.

Walking distance around 2 miles roughly. Not many buses better off getting a cab, or walk

Parking is very hard to find. You may have to park down the street and walk. If you are staying downtown, take a cab (I believe Uber is being discontinued in Austin). Getting there early in the day is better for parking... More
