$15 to take a double kayak onto the Colorado was really nice. Wind changed and we got the strong current in both directions but she had said stay close to shore if it got strong. I am a little sore today - but it was great fun! Boat was in great condition and paddles too. THanks for a great time!

At 70, with my 4 year old granddaughter in her life jacket "helping," it was at first a little stressful; but, when we completed the 1.5 hour trip, we all had fun. The 1st kayak we had started taking on water; but, we returned and the 2nd one worked fine. Great spot to see turtles and ducks while paddling in... More

Thank you for the review, David. We are so sorry for the inconvenience of having to switch boats and are glad you both had a good time on the water. We love little helpers and think it is great that you are teaching yours to love paddling at a young age. Hope we see you on the water again soon!... More

They have their own parking lot which was great. The lake there is open and close to the dam. There's a little island down that way which was cool to go to and enjoy the scenery. The cliffs along the side are breathtaking with caves and cypress trees. There's a couple of rope swings down that way if you're brave.... More

I've made my way around to all of the rental businesses on Lady Bird Lake, and in my opinion, The Rowing Dock is the best - here's why. 1) Location. There is another business nearby with a similar-enough location, but RD is just outside the riff-raff portion of the lake, and gives you access to the most beautiful part. That... More

We visited Rowing Dock on July 4th weekend. They were great! Very clear with directions for first timers. I would definitely go back.

This is the third time I've come to Austin to kayak and paddle board. This was my favorite outfitter that we've used. Parking was easy. The staff was courteous and helpful. The equipment was in great condition and reasonably priced. The organization of this outfitter just made it an easy and pleasant experience--no chaos. This was the first time I've... More

I went kayaking for the first time, we used The Rowing Dock. The attendant was super nice and the gear is in good condition. The price was $10/ hour m-th for a single, on Tuesdays you get the second hour free if you take your dog. I like that the location is a bit west so that you can kayak... More

My fiancé and I took his two teenagers here for a quick and easy Saturday adventure. Rowing Dock did not disappoint. There was a line but it moved fairly quickly. Staff was very friendly and easy to work with. We were all first time kayakers and they helped us get into our kayaks with no mishaps. Rentals are by the... More

My partner and I rented a two-person kayak. The scenery was beautiful. During our one-hour session we saw turtles, ducks, and even a swan. The view of the city and bridge were very lovely as well. The primary reason I did not give the Rowing Dock 5 stars is because the staff really didn't explain anything to us. We expressed... More

Hello, Jasmine. Customer satisfaction and safety is very important to us which is why our staff is required to give each customer a properly sized life jacket, provide information about waterway usage rules, and offer basic paddling instructions. Knowing what to expect on the water, especially faster-moving rowing team traffic, is very important for your safety so I am glad... More

Whether you want to kayak, canoe or paddle board, the Rowing Dock can fix you up. The area on Town Lake is beautiful and any time on the water there is relaxing! Pricing is very reasonable.
