We are on Austin for the third year in a row for SXSW films and spring break . The Zachary theater is modern, great sound and nice seating . It seats about 400 Sonja the second largest theater that SXSW uses after the Paramount . This makes it easier to get into films before they fill up. Also there is... More

Zach Theater was a wonderful venue to see documentary shorts at SXSW 2017 film festival. The staff was very friendly as we waiting to get tickets. The seats were very comfortable and plenty of room.

By ten minutes in, the actor portraying LBJ (Steve Vinnovich) had me convinced. Lady Bird played by Meredity McCall was also an excellent portrayal. We grew up in the LBJ era and were familiar with the incidents portrayed in the play. It was very accurate and the actors brought to life the drama and real emotion of the era. I... More

my in-laws, hubby and I went to a matinee on a SUN to see this play. the theater is very nice, smallish and quaint. the parking was easy (you do have to pay for it). the staff were very friendly and helpful. the area is busy with lots of things to see/do/eat. the play was educational and interesting. the actors... We attended a play at the Zach during the holiday season. It's a small-scale theater, giving it quite a cozy and quaint feel. There isn't a bad seat in the house with stadium style seating and generally ample room to move past other patrons who are already seated. The sound and light system was good with sufficient power to do... More

The Zach Complex is fabulous - our first visit for matinee on Saturday and the Santa Land Diaries in the Whisenhunt. What an intimate arena - holds 125 and EVERY seat is great. The show was wonderful and we will be back - travel from out of town about 3 hours from our home but so worth while. Toured the... More

One of the premier theatres in Austin. Stages range from the new beautiful 420 seat Topfer, the 200+ seat Kleburg, and finally the 100+ theatre in the round Whisenhunt. Productions are top notch, which include musicals, dramas, and comedies. Memorable productions include The King and I, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Christmas Carol Musical, Santayana Diaries, and the 25th... More

The Zach Theatre is a fantastic venue for a traveling Broadway show or a concert. The acoustics are good, the seating is well done (the incline is at a nice grade so that you can easily see over the people in front of you) and the theatre is always clean and well organized. Not sure if the parking nightmare is... More

We traveled to Austin and specifically to this venue to see the return of Ann, the play. It was worth the wait and the travel from Indy to get there. A wonderful venue where every seat has a great view. Easy to travel to from downtown Austin where we were staying at the JW Marriott. Staff was wonderful, and a... More

Three of us went to the ZACH to see the stage play musical Mary Poppins. One of us has a season pass that includes preferred parking, otherwise arrive early as parking is somewhat difficult. Inside the lobby area there was a place set up to take photos with props (chimney sweep brushes, hats, umbrellas) a chanteuse with piano accompaniment and... More
