Friends and I took the bat kyak trip and found it to be a very fun experience. The river was lovely, the bat viewing perfect from under the bridge, the guides irreverent and fun, and kayaking in the dark was really neat.

What a fantastic time I had paddling up to see the Congress Bridge bats! Truly a must-do when visiting Austin! (Beats looking down from the bridge.) Everything from booking to getting us out on the water to our guide was phenomenal! Guide Brian was amazing!...More

My first time visiting Austin and it was recommended we do the bat tour. Our tour guide, Dan was fun and informative. Seeing and learning about the bats was amazing - would definitely do this tour again!

We had a great time on this tour! We did a tandem kayak (not recommended for beginners) and the trip down to the bridge was leisurely and fun. The group was a bit spread out as there were many people with different abilities but we...More

I don't know if they have gift certificates but I would highly recommend at least 2 kayaks (it's harder to paddle and move around in a tandem) so even 3 would be a good idea. Call them when you get a moment and ask bc they... More

Thanks for your question! We also have a 3 and 4 year old and what works best for us is to take 2 tandem kayaks. The adults sit in the backseat and the kids sit in the front seat. We do have a canoe that might work for all... More

I'm sorry I am only seeing this question now, but yes, you can bring your dog on the kayaks! We even have a few life-jackets for the doggies!
