About
Situated in a beautiful park-like setting, The Domain features more than 100 upscale and mainstream retail stores and restaurants, almost half of which are exclusive within the market. A sampling of retailers includes high-end boutiques such as David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Tiffany & Co. and Austin's only Neiman Marcus, as well as more traditional retailers like Express, Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, and more. Restaurants include favorites such as True Food Kitchen, Maggiano's Little Italy, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, North Italia and many more. The multi-phased Domain development is anchored by Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Dillard's and Dick's Sporting Goods and also offers more than 800 residential units and ample Class A office space, in addition to four on site hotels - Westin Austin at The Domain, Lone Star Court by Valencia Group, The Archer Hotel and Aloft Austin. With the center's ideal location and exceptional amenities, amazing restaurant selection and convenient parking, The Domain is the most desired place in Austin to shop, dine, live and work!

Awesome, well kept outdoor shopping area in North Austin. So many stores and so many places to eat. You could spend the whole day there and not see everything.
The place is H-U-G-E. Plan to wear comfortable shoes. Best to get street parking by coming early. If not, you have to park in the parking garages.
Really liked the Amazon Bookstore. You don't see many of those around.
From spending a half hour to go to one store you need to spending the day window shopping, this is the best mall of the south!

My adult daughter and I FINALLY had a fun day together and have been trying to get to the Domain for a few years. My daughter was a toddler when we lived in the N Austin area YEARS ago and we since moved back to the midwest. However, my daughter found her way back to the beautiful Austin area a few years ago. We LOVED it! So many awesome little shops and great restaurants! Lots of walking so wear comfy shoes! I had to exchange some shoes at Rothy’s so my daughter bought a pair of comfy shoes while there. Best Day together with my adult mini me!!!!

THE place to be right now, day or night, with kids or without. All the beautiful people, cars, restaurants, stores and bars. All the people watching, even if it is only the people who think they are interesting. Yes it it just a collection of very high end chains and its time will pass but this is where the action is today.

The Domain is an open air mall like you find in California. But oddly enough, there seems to be more parking in California. The sidewalks snd streets here are very crowded. Parking on the street is highly coveted. But the Yeti store was awesome. They had the new colors and some of the new products. The Apple store had a million people in it but it worked. They had the new colors for the computers. They had a large assortment of Apple watches but not all of them. There were plenty of employees to answer questions. It was all good

I loved hanging out here. When we were in austin for 3 days … we visited the domain twice … so many stores and restaurants here. We ate at the yard house… we visited the ice cream museum. Enjoyed shopping there too. Its a great place and has lots of options.

The best outdoor mall/shopping experience of any place in Texas. Mixed retail and lofts. So jealous of those who live here. Has almost everything you could want or need. Fantastic restaurants all around the complex.

During our stay in Austin we were told to come here for shopping and glad we listened. There’s so much to do. I e took a stroll through the park, had dinner, did some shopping, played arcade games, and had the best icecream ever!!! Highly suggest it

A visit to Austin, Texas is often rife with excursions to breweries, eateries, and state capital- related points of interest. Shopping is also a part of the fun in many instances and if shopping is what you want, then a good choice of places to visit is The Domain.
What is the Domain, exactly? Well, it is best known for its shops, stores, and restaurants. It’s an outdoor shopping mall of sorts with several blocks of food, gifts, and fun. There are outdoor, park- like spaces also, perfect for taking the kids or your dog for some quick exercise.
With the stores, the Domain features anchor stores such as Dillards, Macy’s and Dicks Sporting Goods, plus several specialty shops and eateries. There are well- known chains present in the Domain, such as Nieman Marcus, Aeropostale, J. crew, Bath and Body Works, and so on, plus several more unique shops that you may not have ever heard of, like Peter Millar, Untuckit, Wink Threading, and others. The emphasis seems to be on clothing stores with prices that lean toward the upper end of the cost scale without going overboard.
If you’re looking for food and drink, the Domain has several standbys like Subway, California Pizza Kitchen, and Maggianos. If you want something a little more unique, you might want to check out Flaming Pizza, The Brass Tap, Urban American Grill, and others. If you want a quick smoothie, milkshake, or other snack, there are places for that, too.
There is abundant parking in the Domain and its free, so don’t spend too much time looking for a parking space on the street. There are parking garages and you can park free of charge. Some of the larger stores, like Macy’s, have even larger parking lots so there shouldn’t be an issue finding a place to put your vehicle unless you arrive on an extremely busy day.
Besides its status as a shopping mall, the Domain is also a residential housing center and office complex. Look around and you will see apartments, office space, and a few surrounding hotels. The Domain has become a place to live and way of life for many in Austin and its popularity with tourists seeking a place to drop some money on gifts, food, and drink is on the rise.
Austin, Texas is a fast- growing city with much to offer. The Domain is a cool place to visit when you want to shop or kick back with some food or beverages. It can get quite crowded here at times and because it’s an outdoor shopping mall, there is a constant flow of pedestrians, which can make navigating by vehicle a lengthy adventure. But the Domain still has much to offer and it makes a good choice for a shopping getaway on your next visit to Texas’ capital city.

I enjoy shopping at the Domain when it's not too hot outside. My idea of fun isn't shopping at the Domain when it's 109 outside. It also doesn't seem to be geared for the handicapped. Handicapped parking on the main street is extremely limited. We have a van with a side door so my husband can exit with his wheelchair. So far we haven't been able to find a van accessible space. We would like to go to the Apple store, but it's out of the question. When the Domain becomes more handicapped friendly, I'll write another review retracting this statement.

This place is maybe my literal hell (and probably heaven for others). I can’t stand malls but had to go to get something.
Designer stores, huge outdoor mall area and prices to match and then like an H&M thrown in. They have full places to live in in that area so you & your designer cars never have to leave that space and interface with the real world or the poor or even the upper middle class. Upper class only and you kinda walk around like “Where did everyone get this money from” but maybe you don’t know to know. Wreaks of money money money.
They also have an “ice cream experience museum” thing but don’t be tricked! It’s for instakids to get cool pictures in. Again, if that’s your thing then you’ll love it and can get some cool shots of you looking like you’re in a larger place having the best time.
Again, truly my personal hell, I could not imagine the appeal but for some I suppose that’s the dream. They’ve got some great food spots though.

There are SO MANY! All very unique and trendy. The Domain is constantly growing so new stores are being added regularly.

Yes, but the garage depends on which area of the Domain you are visiting, North or south. It's a rather large area.

In the July heat, is it realistic to walk to the shopping and dining area from the Residence Inn by Marriott at the Domain? If we spend the day shopping at the Domain, concerned about being able to carry all my bags half mile back to the hotel! Any thoughts or real experience appreciated:-)
