Well worth your time

Plan to spend at least an hour in this beautifully serene space. Sit and reflect. I can only imagine the grounds when the many trees are leafed out. Very close to Zilker Park.

This lovely outdoor sculpture garden is small enough to not consume an entire day and large enough to keep visitors happy for at least an hour. We take grandkids there to explore the gardens and sculptures, presented with a scavenger hunt like guide on the second Sunday of each month. Yoga on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday is serene and rewarding.

Very small garden with limited parking. It’s ok but rather the botanical garden because it’s bigger and both have admission fees.

There are so many things to see in Austin by our third trip we got to see some more of the quirky places. We went during the week and there was parking but maybe only 10-12 spots. It is $5 an adult. The staff was very friendly and informative. We watched the short video of Umlauf's life. We enjoyed the... More

I had been expecting to spend an hour or more in a much larger sculpture garden with sculptures by many different artists and was somewhat taken aback when I realized the small scale of the grounds. At the time of my visit, the vast majority of sculptures were by Charles Umlauf and only one that I could see was by... More

I love bronzes and found the setting and display delightful. It was easy to find by taxi, otherwise I would have been lost.

If you are into weird places - you've found a gold mine. If not, keep driving. It is small, takes about 10 minutes to fully walk the park and see all there is to see. The statues are not all positioned with great visibility in mind and the greenery has grown up on many to block the views even further.

Lovely location within distance from Zilker park. A relaxing interactive display of both art and sculpture well place in a small semicircle with minimal hike and walking. Good for families to bring their children that can do their own sculpting and school activity with easy access to downtown south Austin venues near the Zilker and Townlake area.

A welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Austin. Great sculptures set in a large garden. A leaflet explained the meaning of each sculpture and they were carefully placed around the gardens for maximum effect. Some were very moving and touched the heart. The mother & child , small baby were just very evocative and moving. The enlarged size... More
