We had a very nice time visiting the cemetery. There are many interesting Texans who are buried within this very historic cemetery. The cemetery is a very nice park like setting with a little museum telling of some of the important people who are there.

There are a lot of famous Texans buried at this cemetery. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We had a cemetery map so were able to find the graves that we wanted to see. Several former Governors, politicians and ware heroes are buried here.

This is a wonderful place to spend time, reading headstones and thinking about history, or just reflecting on life. It's beautifully laid out and perfectly maintained. Texas' version of Arlington.

Yes parking is available inside the cemetery but it gets crowded sometimes. Best to Park outside and walk in. Get to see more that way. Well worth the walk.
