We had a very nice time visiting the cemetery. There are many interesting Texans who are buried within this very historic cemetery. The cemetery is a very nice park like setting with a little museum telling of some of the important people who are there.

There are a lot of famous Texans buried at this cemetery. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We had a cemetery map so were able to find the graves that we wanted to see. Several former Governors, politicians and ware heroes are buried here.

This is a wonderful place to spend time, reading headstones and thinking about history, or just reflecting on life. It's beautifully laid out and perfectly maintained. Texas' version of Arlington.

Will go again - much to see and think about. Quiet and peaceful time alone in a scenic place. It can be a "teaching experience" without seemingly so. The markers and headstones bring out points of discussions and families can enjoy a time w/o cell...More

Yes parking is available inside the cemetery but it gets crowded sometimes. Best to Park outside and walk in. Get to see more that way. Well worth the walk.
