It is worth getting away from downtown Austin to visit this gem. The sculptures are terrific. The architecture is great. The staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Very interesting story, which lead to more stories and connections to Texas history. Ney was a strong independent woman of talent, imagination, and intelligence. The building and the neighborhood was interesting, as well. It was cold outside and windy, so a longer walk around the...More

Tucked away in a residential area, is a little gem. The artist's home is an unusual stone building. The curator was very knowledgeable, the artist's life really fascinating, and the works displayed were wonderful. It takes no longer than perhaps an hour or so to...More

This is Elisabet Ney's actual home and studio and is definitely worth a visit if you love sculpture. The home itself is incredibly unique and furnished pretty much as it was when she lived and worked the marble here. The visit is free, but I...More

This small museum of the Artist's workspace is both off-beat, and off the beaten path. It gives one an idea of what the Austin of 100+ years ago was like, and offers some of the artists' works for enjoyment, with information on her life &...More
