I think Barton Springs Pool is a must visit. Great experience. I have done it a few time. Water is very cold, because it's constantly fed with natural springs, but it's nice. Plenty of places to swim around even when it's crowded, which is often. Parking can be tricky. They have hill sides to sit or lay out. One diving... More

I love this place. I love you swim here, lay under the trees, walk up the road and get some juice at Juice Land. This place is an institution. It should be preserved for when the aliens come to study us. They will take a dip and let us live. Keep on, Barton Springs. Keep on.

Great place to enjoy the outdoors. We walked a couple of miles and enjoyed a picnic. Easy walking. Various access points so could do it again from a different perspective.

This was the first swimming location I was brought to as a child. I have been coming here since I was 2 months old. If you are in Austin on a hot day and want a fabulous place to swim this is definitely the place to come. It's a little pricey as a put of town visitor but it is... More

I'm always cold, but I love to swim and this place is a lot of fun. But as others have mentioned the water is cold. Don't be afraid to put on your wetsuit and swim a few laps as if you're training for a triathlon. Beautiful, fun place to visit. Off season it's free.

This place was so beautiful!!! I love that you are in a city but have access to water and trails for walking, biking, running, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. A great place to relax, you could stay for a couple hours or spend the day. The water is about 68 degrees F all year around. We went in November and people... More

We went to the pool just to see it on a chilly November day. The good news was: 1) It was NOT crowded, and 2)It was free. The bad news was: It was freezing. The water is quite cold, as it is spring fed. Only a few brave souls were swimming. The pool is a natural habitat, aka, a "swimming... More
