Loved it. The park has two water falls,upper and lower,both fall were beautiful. You have to do a little hike to get to the lower falls.Enjoyed the visit.

no life jackets available. you would have to bring your own I you wished to have one on.
I am traveling to Austin in a few weeks and I am planning on visiting McKinney Falls. But, I recently found out that there has been quite a few drownings there and it has me worried. Is it safe and what should I avoid doing inorder to stay safe while swimming there?

I have not heard about any drownings. There are areas where you can play in shallow water, rocks, waterfalls, small and large pools on the rocks and also there are large and deep swimming holes. Use caution and swim safe... More
