Over the years I have made many visits here for recreation, Trail of Lights, lighting of the Zilker Christmas tree, concerts, and plays. It's fantastic.

I love the mini train ride and the botanic garden. The spring water swimming pool is famous. I didn't go swimming but spent some time in the small information room next door.

Lots to do and see at Zilker park. From hiking the trails, paying in Barton springs like SUP, kayaking, or just playing with your friends (and dogs) to beat the heat! Parking is awful so be prepared to search for awhile or go super early!

It's 7 miles from the Hill of Life (at the end) to Zilker park where the Barton Creek Greenbelt trail begins. It's 4 hours for an average hiker

Yes, you can fish at Lady Bird Lake. I Googled "fishing Zilker Park" and found government websites on how to do it.
