We were concerned about large crowds on Labor Day so we arrived early. There weren't many parking places left, but once inside the pool area it didn't seem that crowded. The water is beautiful and quite cold. We spent about 3 hours swimming the length...More

Completely overshadowed by tall buildings and overpopulation this place truly has gone to the bats. For some reason people still participate in water activity’s. If polluted rivers and the overwhelming smell of Bueno in the hot Texas sun appeals to you then have at it....More

The park offers a variety of activities e.g. kayaking, paddle boarding, beach volleyball etc. The Barton Spring Municipal pool is located in Zilker Park, as well. It’s nice to walk around, because you are able to see the skyline of Austin.

Great place for a walk or hike. Lots of trees and shade when it’s hot outside. Barton Springs is in the park.

Great park to spend some time at. Has a great walking and bike bath loop trail, with great views of downtown Austin across Lady Bird Lake along with being able to watch all of the paddle boarders and kayakers.

It was the best place we've been to. Rowing along the Colorado river, even under the heat of the sun, was worth it.

It's 7 miles from the Hill of Life (at the end) to Zilker park where the Barton Creek Greenbelt trail begins. It's 4 hours for an average hiker

Yes, you can fish at Lady Bird Lake. I Googled "fishing Zilker Park" and found government websites on how to do it.
