I have seen Zilker Park both in its "bare" state and all dressed up for the huge Austin City Limits Music Festival. It's a wonderful park and is beautifully laid out.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon decided to rent some bikes and go on a bike ride. Lots of nice trails to ride along the river. The park is very clean and spacious.

What a fabulous day on the Colorado River kayaking. Nature all around calm waters without all the motorized water crafts whizzing by. You don’t even realize you are in the middle of a metropolitan city until you see the city out on the main channel....More

Lovely walking to get here from downtown along the river, and then what a cool swimming pool outdoors - fed by the nearby natural springs. Well worth the time if you want to be outdoors!

Nice park and enjoyable stroll on a nice fall day. Lots of monarch butterflies. Easy walking trails and will take about two hours at least to enjoy. For all ages.

It's 7 miles from the Hill of Life (at the end) to Zilker park where the Barton Creek Greenbelt trail begins. It's 4 hours for an average hiker

Yes, you can fish at Lady Bird Lake. I Googled "fishing Zilker Park" and found government websites on how to do it.
