I've played Kizer and Jimmy Clay probably a hundred times and recently I've become a bit more cynical about the course, the condition and only until very recently the concessions. Yes this course does get a tremendous amount of play (as does Clay) and yes not every golfer is as religious about fixing divot marks, picking up their feet on... More

Roy Kizer is a very fine golf course. Well conditioned and well laid out. Senic and nice amenities. I highly recommend it. Fun. Challenging. Fair. Try it!

This was the best course I've played so far in Texas. It's a great links course with several risk reward holes. They had recently over seeded so the greens were slow but true. The staff checking us in were friendly and helpful. He recommended we return to play Jimmy Clay as well. I wish we had played there today instead... More

I've played Kizer many times and always just love it. I've played great courses like the Blue Monster, Torrey Pines and Southern Hills. This isn't in those leagues. It's sort of a links style course with water and traps but so much fun. I've seen many pro golfers there including PGA champions, Senior PGA winners. It's not the longest course... More

Before Morris Williams was refurbished this was the best muni course in Austin. Bring plenty of balls because water is plentiful on the course. The greens are a inconsistent and are very hard and has problems holding approach shots. The fairways have been ravaged by he drought and are hard and bare in some spots. But if you can hit... More

This is a solid public course with a lot more water than I expected. My brother and I had a great time here, and the price is right on. We lost some balls in the creek that runs through most of the holes, but thoroughly enjoyed the round. Probably the best greens we saw on any public course in Austin.

I play this course frequently. It is wide open, and on windy days, you'll definitely have to include it in your calculations! I would rate it Very Good except for the greens. At times they are in rough shape and other times very good. Never excellent, but very good. There is a lot of difference in yardage depending on the... More

There are 2 courses here and both are very nice for the price. There is a standard clubhouse with a restaurant that is ok. (Standard clubhouse type food) The rates are very reasonable and they allow you to bring in your own coolers with your own drinks, which I really enjoy.

If you like a wide open, blast away course, this is it. Good quality, but wide open.
