I could only pick one wine that I felt was good. The young man that helped with the wine tasting was not as knowledgeable as I would have hoped. He also drank every wine that I tried. I thought that was a little odd. We...More

I booked an overnight stay at Tara Winery for my anniversary. We arrived mid day on a Saturday after having lunch up at the Brewery (owned by the same people) in town. We made it a few minutes before the tour started. Patrick, the owner,...More

We got there and was quickly taken to a tasting area. That ended the quickness. I went to the ladies room and came back- waited 15 more min and were passed by by several employees. No one asked to help us. When we decided to...More

Most wonderful lunch today with hubby. For years we've driven past Tara Winery on 175 heading to Athens thinking what a neat place and we should stop. Well, boy have we been missing out! Folks there are super friendly and the food is fabulous. My...More

Stopped in after having a bad day - just me and mom. We were greeted by Prince, the hound, as well as Chris, the Chef. Jennifer and Aaron assisted us for about 2 hours - great information on the wines, the winery, the food and...More

Having visited Tara Vineyards & Winery a few years back, we were excited that our travel brought opportunity to go again. Our first visit introduced us to a blossoming winemaker and some tasty wines. There was an outdoor sitting area, but not as nicely done...More

Wine quality far better than expected . Tasting overpriced. Dinner average to good, Sea Bass above average, Steel head Dry. Appetizers excellent. Service very attentive and knowledgeable. Good description and interpretation of their Wines . Purchased a number of selections. Don't go for entertainment.....😏

Wine was leafy, service decent, prices for the quality of wine and food, less than par. If your going to charge $25 for a meat and cheese tray, try better quality than bologna and 6 tiny slices of cheese. I cannot imagine how hard it...More

The winery was great and tasty. Dinner was delicious, my husband had the ribeye, which was bigger than the plate, and I had the sea bass, melted in my mouth. They were even kind enough to box up a couple eggs with our steak leftovers,...More

Met the owner and she did our wine tasting. Took friends who had never been. It was our 15th visit. Loved the pork chop. Friends love the wine. Only issue was getting out after fireworks show. We had to detour.
