We were driving by and saw the statue so we stopped. Wow, he is large and impressive up close! Worth a stop to read the history and the sculpture on the back side of the monument. Great picture opportunity!

this is a beautiful statue of stephen f.austin.i would encourage you to please visit this sight and bring your kids.they will love it.

If you can go when they have special event days. We were there and they had some reenactments. It has some interesting history and items.

Big, dirty statue. Only saving grace is viewing him from the south. You can see from his document why he is the "father" of Texas. Center is not open conviently. Stop, take a picture and go on to the Brazoria County Historical Museum.

Didn't know this statue was located in Angleton but glad we had a chance to see it. It is pretty awesome to see up close. If you are near this area, you should spend a few minutes to see this.

If the Brazoria County Commissioner's Court approves, it would be awesome to preserve this statue and land for our present and future residents to enjoy.
