Nice gift shop. Restaurant was closed when we were there so didn't get to try food. Liked white line painted across highway and variety of signs marking mid-point of Route 66.

If you plan on eating, make sure you pay attention to the time. On the day that we arrived at 2:45 p.m., they stopped cooking food at 3 p.m., even though the doors stay open until 5 p.m. The decor is retro, which is part...More

Great remembrance of Route 66 heydays. Be sure to take pictures at the actual Route 66 Midpoint. Don't miss Adrian on your Route 66 adventure.

A great little place with lots of opportunities for the customary photo ops. A large sign at the roadside marking the halfway spot on Route 66 between Chicago and L.A. Painted signs are on the roadway, but beware there is still a bit of traffic...More

This is truly one of the best stops along all of Route 66. If you stop to take photos at the midpoint sign, note that the cafe owners placed a stand for your camera and I think a place where you can climb up behind...More

The folks at this eatery could have just sat on their hands and let their location (half way between Chicago and LA on the Mother Road) bring in the tourists. But instead, they've fixed it up into one of the cuter diners along the road....More

Food is delicious - but make sure you leave room for pie!! The owners are wonderful to talk to and love what they do. This was one of our favorite stops on 66.

Obviously you have to stop at the mid point of route 66 to get some pictures. Also make sure you visit the cafe and gift shop. Cafe does great cream pie!
