Loved the quaintness of this and the whole town. Interactive with iPhone to hear a partial reading of the books these sculptures go with. We also visited the National Childrens Center for Illustrated Literature (NCCIL) -- wonderful place.

Nice place to stop with children if you’re in the area. Note that this is not a playground, but a sculpture garden with cute opportunities for pictures.

Abilene is the Storybook Capital of Texas, and this park is a great addition to our storybook attractions! The artwork of Garth Williams comes alive as large-as-life statues of his illustrations.
