A veteran community-based ski area on US Forest Service land. It's come a long way from its rope tow and T-bar beginnings. Saved financially by the community more than once. Great skiing if the snow is right. Steep with good challenges for for experienced skiers....More

Quit reading this if you're expecting a review of the ski hill. We drove up to the top of Mt. Ashland looking to do some hiking, but the trails were snowed in and we didn't have sno-shoes with us. The next best thing was to...More

Parking can be a problem and there is a parking fee. Since it's been several years, I didn't ski, but took advantage of the Lodge and it's many varieties of eats and drinks! Coffee to Alcohol available in several locations on various levels of the...More

We appreciate this review. The snow was indeed late coming this year and that meant that many guests visited in March. As with many ski areas, our parking lot can fill up on nice days, so we always recommend carpooling, getting here early, or better...More

Nothing spectacular other than the views. Just an hour from home! Late snow this year. Too "iffy" to buy a seasonal pass- several years of minimal snow fall this decade.

Our season passes are actually very affordable at $299 during our April sale. The pass purchase pays off after only 6 visits! We think that’s pretty spectacular, in addition to our great terrain, ample snowfall (most years ;), and friendly staff. Let it snow!

Mt. Ashland holds a special place in my heart, it's a great resort filled with wonderful people. I've been skiing there for almost 50 years and not much has changed. A few lifts have been added but the lodge is still the same and I...More

We were here in the summer so there was no skiing but the hiking on the PCT was breath taking. One of my favorite places in Oregon.

This was a great snow year and Mt Ashland was wonderful. The runs are short and relatively narrow and some are fairly steep. Not a lot of immediate skiing but overall a good value.

Thanks for visiting us this year! Yes, the snow was certainly great. Stay tuned for all of the excitement to come next season, including a newly-remodeled Lodge!

Mt. Ashland Ski Area has mostly moderate to advanced runs. It has been held back by environmentalists who have prevented expansion into easier ski areas. They have passed that hurdle in the courts and will soon be expanding.

Runs are shorter but steep, the prices are reasonable and the lodge gets crowded quickly, so stop for lunch by 11:30.

Thanks for your review! Yes, our Lodge is small and we appreciate the advice on taking lunch early as the Lodge does fill very quickly. In the summer of 2017, we have a $1.4 Million renovation planned to address the crowding problems.

Mt. Ashland is a small ski area with some very challenging slopes. There is a bunny hill for beginners and children, but it is very short in length. The other runs are fun if you are a more experienced skier. It can get windy, so...More

Thanks. Our Learning Area is separated from the rest of our slopes, so little ones don't have to worry about getting knocked over by speed demons. This makes for a great first-time experience!

Thanks for the review! In 2017, we're investing our 52-year-old Lodge with some great upgrades our guests are sure to appreciate. As far as plexiglas goes, because we receive so much snow at Mt. Ashland, we need to be able to clear the bar deck...More
