The round barn is a very historic place to visit and quiet unique. Built in 1898 the barn was restored in 1992 after the roof collapsed. Visitors are welcome to tour the upper and lower sections. The lower section of the barn contains a gift shop and a collection of historic pieces. The upper section of the barn is empty.... More

This was one of my longest Route 66 riding days with only 3-4 'must see attractions' on the itinerary. I was running a little behind on time and almost drove past, however given it was 100+ in the heat, I needed the rest, water and shade. So glad I did stop. After entering the barn, I was surprised how cool... More

This is a neat place. Lots to look at downstairs, but upstairs is outstanding. Make sure you open a "window" and look out.

Fun stop on our trip from OKC to Tulsa! This is one of those quirky stops that make road trips worthwhile. We loved getting to stop in, see the history of the place. A few musicians were playing folk music on guitars in the space upstairs, and the "gift shop" was fun for a quick stroll!

Unfortunately, we stopped after hours so the barn was not open, but it's another interesting stop along Route 66. Walk around the grounds to see various views of the barn. It had an official Route 66 sign. Across the road (Old Route 66) see a monument about the Will Rogers Highway.

Well after 8 years of living less than 3 miles from the Round Barn, we decided to go in for a free visit on a late Sat afternoon. Weather was perfect; a bus tour was finishing up, & they were gearing up to host a wedding in the upper loft that evening. We were blown away by all the history,... More

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the inside because I didn't get there til after hours. I did find the outside to be awe-inspiring. I have never seen a round barn before. I'm hoping to go back someday to see the inside. I'm sure that it's equally as interesting as the outside.

Free to get into barn- just make sure to check their hours. The downstairs has cool history timeline and artifacts along the wall, while the inner part of that level was like a souvenir shop and mini flea market rolled into one. The upstairs is what I was fascinated with. What a blast it would be to attend a dance... More
