Walking up the 12 steps and through the door of the birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous was a bucket list item for me. The house is full of the Spirit of recovery, the coffee is on, and volunteers guide visitors through the history. Just being in...More

Being in the program, and visiting the co-founders home was inspirational. This is where it began. The typewriter used to create the first edition of the Big Book is sitting there. To me , inspirational.

I was only able to drive by Dr. Bob's home since it had closed for the day, but it's cute and well maintained. I will say, though, that Ardmore Ave. is an old brick street that has many ups and downs - it's very uneven....More

Visited this home in June of 2017. A neat look back to the 1910-20s. The neighborhood is beautiful with brick lined streets. Nice displays in inside the house chronicling the life of one of AAs founders

For anyone who considers him/herself a "friend of Bill W", or even just a person interested in self-help in general, the house of Dr. Bob will hold great meaning for you. It gave me goosebumps just walking up to the property, taking a stroll up...More

I had a friend visiting from FLA who has benefited from Dr. Bob's work and I surprised her with a visit to his home. Personally I had never heard of him...but I knew it would mean a lot to her. Yet I thoroughly enjoyed it...More

I was on a trip to Akron and had no idea Dr. Bob's home was here until I saw it on Tripadvisor. My wife is a friend of Bill W but I was solo on this trip so I went in her place. I knew...More
