Me my husband and our two boys came to visit for a spring break mini vacation, we were not disappointed. I have loved this zoo for years and being able to share it with my boys is incredible. The animals were all out due to great weather and you can tell they are VERY well taken care of. We became... More

We decided to stop at the zoo on our way home from the beach. The zoo had to be over capacity. In many of the areas there wasn't enough room for people to walk. I saw many handicapped people stuck because they couldn't get to the ramps. It was also very difficult for people with strollers. We were so uncomfortable... More

The NC Zoo is truly amazing. The exhibits are amazing, the animals are gorgeous and there is a great variety of things to do. The zoo has two sections, North American and African, with a long paved trail between the two sections. There are trams for viewing both sections, but not worth waiting in lines. The NC Zoo is very... More

I have always heard great things about this zoo. It was my families first & last visit. I was extremely disappointed in the layout. We walked more than we seen animals. African animals are my fav, but none of the animals are visible. At the elephants, there are these huge decor boulders that stand in front of you that block... More

We had heard good things about the NC Zoo and decided it was our time to check it out. We camped about 40 minutes away because all the campgrounds closer were full already on Easter Weekend. We parked in the Africa parking lot and started there. The weather was perfect except for the pollen, but spring will be spring. Also,... More

This zoo was spread out into two zones....African and North America. Both had a good assortment of animals, but be prepared to walk ALOT !! The animal habitats were spread out and not in a direct loop or path. You had to backtrack alot. We all enjoyed it, but had to miss out on alot as we were on a... More

The new rope course my daughter loved it. I think the staff did an awesome job with the animals and answering any questions... More

We have a seasons pass but we went for new AirHike & Dino Bus tour with mom, 8yo & 13yo this time. Air Hike was fun, challenging & enjoyable - we will be back to accomplish all the high ropes "events"!! Dinosaurs were pretty cool too - they moved and made noises which an 8yo dinosaur fanatic LOVED!! Fairly cost... More
