If I lived in Cary, I'd want to live close to DownTown Knits. Great store. Comfortable-looking sitting area on the yarn side; big, sunny, colorful area on the sewing side with good displays. Bought an Iced Tea jug here with the Manager's advice on how to use it well. Lots of loose tea to choose from and i will be back for it when i need some! Beautiful store not just knitting goods but items for Tea Drinkers! Yeah!

I recently visited this shop & was impressed with the selection of wonderful yarns they carry. I was specifically looking for yarn for a baby sweater, & unfortunately, that selection was a bit limited. With the help of the woman there (not the owner), I selected an alternate yarn. This is a fairly new shop in the beautiful updated downtown of Apex. Classes of all kinds are offered and there is usually a group of women just relaxing and spending time in the lounging area while they work on their individual projects of knitting or crocheting.

Downtown knits opened a few years ago and I have been meaning to review it for all my fellow travelling knitters.
