What a stunning place, that sadly, many people are going to miss out on because of the misguided press reports making out that Turkey is a dangerous place to visit. We go there twice a year, every year, usually for 3 weeks at a time,...More

Not quite, but I see why people say it. Nice place for a walk around, shops for the "Souvenirs" and cafe's aplenty. Well worth a visit.

You would enjoy the views over this port... Lots of ships with different shapes. Don't forget to watch out for little fish :)

Yalikavak is a little port with plenty of wooden (old style 2 mast Turkish boats). There are plenty of seafood restaurants where you buy your fish by weight and can have them grilled, fried or steamed.
