This 12-mile long beach is also a National Park. Its proximity to the ruins keeps hotels from developing in the area, making it great for uncrowded swimming as well as bird watching.

Beautiful beach at the end of the road past the ruins of Patara. Ample parking, toilets and a reasonable beach restaurant.

Loved swimming here. The beach was beautiful. The cafe on the beach is not bad, we had burger and chips from there, it was not a bad price.

The first nine kilometres are a gentle walk. Accessing the other six requires “wading” across the fast-flowing river out of Xanthos. I have only been able to do this by swimming, and you need to be confident in the water (much colder than the sea)...More

It is very long beach I have ever seen. Waves are really fun. It is clean. Not deep. You can go with your kids. There are facilities for shower and cloth change.
