We checked out this historical place, we paid the entrance fees which is horrendous for a self tour price without anything included. Most sites visited always have a movie or taped narrations in a designated area, this one got none. Also no coffee house, could be nice if they create a cafe or coffee house with an outside umbrella open... More

If visiting Manilla you definitely need to spend some time within the walls of Intramuros. The streets are quaint & attractive, plus there's lots of historical buildings, monuments, museums etc to look at. It's super easy to get around on foot by yourself & has lots of eateries too. Take a day at least to visit.

This being the original Spanish Manila it is packed with historical sites and buildings. We have stayed in Intramuros on two separate trips for a total of six days and still want to return for more site seeing. Between the churches, Fort Santiago and the old walls there are many interesting and historical locations to see. The two hotels are... More

I was pretty excited about coming here but to be honest, it was pretty boring. The architecture is a little shabby, it's not really set up to be a tourist destination and there wasn't all that much to see. I guess if you're really into Spanish colonial history then maybe it'd be interesting but don't go with really high expectations.

You'll never completely know what the 16th century Manila was like, if you haven't visited Intramuros yet. The old walled city is a gem to old architecture and heritage lovers alike. I was there to see the it just for the sake of seeing it. Try doing it. It's worth it.

My last visit to Intramuros was very memorable. I was able to see the old structure as well as the San Agustin and Manila Cathedral. The trip was highlighted by the tour while riding the calesa and eating sorbetes. I really liked taking pictures while inside the calesa.

A must for history buffs but was also enjoyed by my wife who is not. The buggy drivers WILL try and over-charge you. The cost is currently 700 pesos per hour and every driver will try and get you to visit the various attractions as you are still on "the clock". We started our buggy ride after viewing The San... Only had a chance to spend 90-minutes visiting Intramuros, but learned quite a bit about the history of the Philippines. The museum on site was very interesting, if a bit crowded due to its size. The fortification's prison cells visually carried a message about how the fortification was used over time.
