Francois has been doing the tour for 20 years, is Seychellois and grew up on the island. He speaks German, is very funny and shows you places that not everyone knows. It is worth it in any case.

One of the best view from top of the hill. Trail is well maintained, we have done Many nature trail in Seychelles and Copolia is recommended one for tourists. There is enough signages on the way, so that you will not miss the way. Avoid the trail on the rainy day mainly due to fog on the hill you will not able to see the view properly. Management charge 100 scr per tourist, Which I feel is good because they have maintained the trail very well. and for the residents it's free. We were group of 8 persons, when we reached the trail point it was raining very heavily. When rain Stop we have started out trail which is approximately 800 meter height. And we finished the trail approximately in 25 minutes. Trail is not difficult. One need to carry enough water 💦 or soft drinks, as on the way is very humid. Once you reach on top, you feel the paradise. Very beautiful view. During clear weather you can see Praslin island, Ladigue island, Denis Island, Saint Anne Island and all the nearby Islands. Finally I would like to thank staff "BIGUTE FERMIE" for her help and guidence, She was very hospitable and Kind.

We caught a bus from Victoria to the Copolia Trail around midday - buses only run every 2 hours! The trail itself was well sign posted and timings were accurate (45 minutes walk each way). It is very steep in places, wear good walking shoes as you will be walking over tree roots and uneven ground and take plenty of water with you as there are no facilities. There is a short fixed ladder to climb just before arriving on the plateau. It is well worth the effort as you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the east side of the island overlooking Eden Island and Victoria.

This hike is a little tricky with young kids, but it wasn’t too difficult. The kids enjoyed climbing up the steep rocks and steps. At the end of the hike, make sure you climb up the ladder for the best views. We almost missed it. If you haven’t climbed the ladder you haven’t reached the top. Enjoy.

Went back and forth including a stop at the summit to enjoy the scenery in 1hr and 6 minutes (accompanied by my wife and 20-year-old son), so it doesn’t take as long as most guidebooks say. Beautiful trail, easy to find your way, not too many people and fantastic views from the top.
