For anyone who wants to understand the many facets that make up Malaysia...

For anyone who wants to understand the many facets that make up Malaysia today, start with a stroll through Kuala Lumpur's oldest neighborhood. As you discover the heritage sites of KL, a tin mining settlement that has grown into a thriving metropolis, you'll also hear stories of what brought Chinese and Indian immigrants, the trades they practiced and their traditions and beliefs, many of which endure today. Sample a variety of authentic foods and see where different communities worship. Eat with locals, experience the places they live and pray and fall in love with a city and a people!

There is so much more to Kuala Lumpur then shopping and big hotels. Our guide Sean was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and funny and shared his passion for history, architecture and traditional foods. There was plenty of time to ask questions and take photos and we really saw KL from a local perspective, away from the tourists. Thank you Sean for a... More

First, the tour title should be called BE Tourist Malaysia Heritage and Food Morning Tour. The tour cost 230 MR ($58), and, at first, seemed rather high for Malaysia. However, after taking the tour and sampling various food, it was an excellent value. This tour is the equivalent of having a friend in Kuala Lumpur who takes you to see... More

I was lucky to get a one-on-one tour with Shawn. His appreciation and love for Malaysia was apparent from the beginning, when he lamented the lack of protection for the historical buildings we were visiting. Shawn was careful to explain the significance of the Buddhist and the Hindu temples we visited, and I learned more from him than in many... More

Overall, the tour guide was very informative and provided us with historical background of KL, etc. From a food perspective, perhaps it was because I went during Ramadan, but I was not very impressed with the quality of food offered at the some of the stalls we visited. We had perhaps $25 worth of food (combined with two people) at... More

The tour was amazing! We enjoyed every minute of it... the perfect mix of history, modern city life, culture, religion and traditional food. We saw areas we would never have seen and tried food we would never have tasted. Our guide Wye was amazing. So positive and a fountain of information! Do the tour or you will miss something!

A great opportunity to see something of the other side of KL, and visit places and eat food that I never would on my own. Sean was an informative and friendly guide who took us to visit markets, temples, cafes, with stories about how KL developed into what it is today. Bit of a challenge to find their office, but... I cannot say enough about how awesome this tour was. We snuck it in during a 12 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur. The tour was comprised of 2 couples and a local guide. She told us about how the city was founded, how it developed, took us to Chinese temples and a Hindu temple, and snagged us great food. As... More

We have done a short tour (4 hours) with Sean. Sean was very enthusiastic and he told/explained us a lot of Malaysia, KL. We visited two temples and three restaurants (very good food). Sean, many thanks. You are a great guide!

An excellent tour to begin our trip in Kuala Lumpur. Wyn was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and a friendly introduction to the city. She taught us about the history, traditions and culture. It was a great tour to do at the beginning of our stay as it orientated us with regards to the city. The eating expereinces were delicious and informative... More
