Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.

Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

Our guide Charles meet us at Paramount LRT station, on time and ready to go. He gave us a quick run down of where we would be going and eating. He was extremely informative but more importantly cared what he was telling and showing us. There was another 3 couples on the tour and the mini bus that we travelled... More

One of the must dos when you travel to Malaysia is to explore and try local street food from the heart of the community. We honestly did not expect such an amazing evening exploring the local food scene in the suburbs of the city. You've heard the saying- Eat, Sleep, Rave Repeat! Well at Food Tour Malaysia it's more- Eat,... More

Our group of 6 took the evening tour and it was the highlight of our 4 days in K.L. We met up at the suburban railway station ( a doddle to get to) and the fun began. We visited 3 different areas where the locals ate and Charlie guided us through the various dishes. Also visited an evening market (not... More

Me and my boyfriend went with our tour guide Ken and a Scottish fellow(I don't know how to spell the name) who were simply amazing! We had loads of fun and a good laugh! The food was really good as well and I recommend you try everything! We were expecting some weird taste but none of the food were like... More

This tour was excellent, not only do you eat dishes that a tourist would not likely eat but more importantly you go to local eateries outside of KL city centre that tourists would not normally frequent. The tour guide Charlie was outstanding not only with his information on the melting pot of Malaysian cuisine but also on the cultural aspects... More

I booked this food tour by myself because I love to eat. I travelled solo, and I like to experience new places through the food. I definitely did not expect it to be as amazing as it was. We met at the CIMB Bank at the Prangin Mall, and it was me, and three other people + our two awesome... More

We signed up for the evening food tour on a visit to KL over Chinese New Year. Piaree was our guide for the evening and she was absolutely lovely! Full of Malaysian hospitality and knowledge, she guided us to 3 hotspots for local cuisine; Chinese, Malaysian and Indian. We ate lots of tasty delights - as well as trying lots... More

My husband and I joined Food Tour Malaysia in both Penang and KL (Off the Eaten Track Tour). Both tours were excellent. Our guides were knowledgable, friendly and enthusiastic. There was a huge array of food to try at each spot we visited and everywhere we ate at was local, authentic and delicious. Both tours were an excellent opportunity to... More

Had a lovely experience trying the vast variety of food Malaysia has to offer. Learnt a lot about the culture and visited places completely off the tourist radar. I've never been so full in my life by the end of the tour. Kens wife made some traditional Chinese New Year deserts as an added treat. Ps ken is lovely

Do this tour early into your stay in KL to be able to then fully appreciate 3 cultures worth of food for the remainder of your time in this amazing city. From the moment Charles picked us up in the mini van we knew we were in for a treat. We sampled authentic and fantastic food at three different locations,... More
