The view from Mt. Inasa was great (deemed one of the best in Japan). However, the ropeway ride experience was average, with visitors crammed in a single carriage (with sub-optimal ventilation) and rather long waiting times.
Absolutely stunning view but due to the enormous amount of people difficult to see anything. Still worth going and try to get a glimpse of Nagasaki by night. Difficult to get to (we took taxi as no public transport seems to go there).
It was a disappointing trip to the top due to the heavy mist formed during the evening. The visibility was poor and we could hardly see anything from the top.
It doesnt help when the air-conditioning system doesnt ventilate air at all at the lift-lobby...More
During our dinner of Shippoku cuisine at Shian-bashi, I asked to a restaurant staff for a taxi.
It was 75-minute-sightseeing plan of Mt. Inasa and lit-up Mganebashi(Spectacles Bridge), departing from that restaurant finally to our accommodation in the center of Nagasaki.

If you can get to Nagasaki Station, there's bus No. 5 right outside it that will take you to like more than halfway up the mountain and you can walk up for like 20 minutes from where you get off the bus; that will be cheaper... More
If you can get to Nagasaki Station, there's bus No. 5 right outside it that will take you to like more than halfway up the mountain and you can walk up for like 20 minutes from where you get off the bus; that will be cheaper than taking the cable car (back in last June when I went there, that was like the only way, I think the ropeway was under renovation or something at that time).
