Shinsaibashi is a mostly covered walkway/shopping Mall which is within walking distance of the Osaka Nankai Namba station and, for my money, is a must to experience for the first time visitor to Osaka. The middle of the walkway is intersected by a canal spanned...More

Not worth to walk the whole stretch as there are not many shops that sells fashionable clothes. Many cafes and five dollar type of concept stores.

It's crowded there but an interesting place to visit. The corridors with roof there offer a hide from the big sun. But the roads looked quite the same, you gotta prepare a map with you or it's quite easy to get lost inside. Food there...More

I loved rummaging around here. Be careful though as some shops are narrow and you don't want to accidentally hit a display of ceramics with your backpack ;). I found a reasonably priced japanese knife for a gift here.

This is a good place to walk and experience the hustle and bustle of Osaka. There is lots to buy and if you are a fan of cosmetics and face products, there is a plethora of different pharmacies to look and buy from.

This place has authentic Japanese food and is exactly what you're looking for. It has sushi, hibachi and all of it is served by lovely Japanese waitresses. This place of perfect for a large group or a business get together.

There is definitely a Disney store in Shinsaibashi it's marked on Google maps, it's not a Disneyland store but it sells some of the same merchandise, not as extensive as actually going to Disney itself. When you exit... More

Shinsaibashi is more of a shopping street rather than for kids. If you want children-friendly attractions, I would recommend the Osaka Aquarium instead.
