We were hoping to see cherry blossom in the castle last week. Unfortunately they're not out yet. Nice big park with many people with their animals out in the park. Nice walk and fun experience trying snacks right outside the castle.

It is well worth a visit to the castle - we didn't queue for very long, but didn't get there until about 4.00. There are 8 floors for which there is a lift up but not back down. The views from the top are great,...More

We came without any ground holiday booking to Osaka. The hotel front office gave us a transportation map; we got ourselves a JR day pass and off we go. Osaka Castle is a very historic and iconic landmark in Osaka. It was rebuild in early...More

After walking for about half an hour from the parking area, we entered a gate that lead us into a large area where there was an artistic old building known as Osaka Castle. This castle is sorrounded by a kind of river or pond. It...More

The castle has a nice view but it is really a small museum and a lookout point. The inside is not a castle at all.

This turn out to be my favorite destination out of all the places I visited in Japan. The castle is an amazing site to behold. Love the Samurai armor collection as well as the city view on the top. When the cherry blossom is in...More

Expected a lot but was very disappointed as it is more of a museum than a castle to visit. Views from the top were Ok but not much else was of interest unless you were interested in the history of Osaka. Much better castles to...More

Walking distance from osakajokoen station, just look for castle signs at station. So glad it survived the air raids during the war as it had been rebuilt not many years before. It has 8 floors inside but you can catch the lift up to the...More

The views were excellent from the castle. There was also a camping festival going on when we visited, so lots of happy people around. Walking the park and castle grounds was very nice.

I am not sure about the castle but we were outside the castle at the park area taking photo late at night. The photos are great at night.
