Expensive but a fantastic view

We thought it was on the expensive side but we did have the gondola to ourselves which compensated somewhat. Real panoramic views acres the bay and the near city too. One... read more

Been there in April 2016. Please ready with your jackets and thermal layer just in case you will spend till late in the afternoon. It's was windy and it's cold. Nice ride to relax after a tour in the Aquarium.

This was a nice way to see Osaka from the sky. The views on the day were clear which allowed us to see so much and after a lot of walking it was nice to sit down and take in the views. We even got some popcorn from the shopping centre next door to make the ride around a bit... More

We thought it was on the expensive side but we did have the gondola to ourselves which compensated somewhat. Real panoramic views acres the bay and the near city too. One interesting site looks quite exotic but turns out to be the local recycling plant. UK - please take note! Slow moving and very steady there is no perceiveable movement... More

This offers one of the best views of the area. You will be shocked by how big the local area is and how much it sprawls out

The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is located close by the Tempozan Shopping Gallery and Kaiyukan. The once largest ferris wheel has a hefty fee, but it is covered by the Osaka Amazing Pass. The ferris wheel has normal and transparent, see-through gondolas, which provide an interesting point of view and scenery as long as you're not afraid of heights! Unsurprisingly, the... More

Took the ride around 8pm. No crowd at all. You can choose general or see-through gondola, without extra charges. But you have to wait at least 20 minutes for the see-through (which is not worth it & imagine the long wait during daytime). A nice 20 minutes ride with an overview of Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and Osaka bay. However, is... More

I've never been particular scared of heights but I really froze when we reached the very top of the ferris wheel! The view was amazing and you can see into Universal Studios which was close-by. There was only 2 of us that went up and it was about a 30min ride, the view was stunning but just a little scary.... More

I took the Tempozan during the day and had a magnificent view of the bay area. But the fee of JPY 800 is quite expensive. Better to buy the amazing pass for JPY 2,900 (inclusive of one way Nankai train from airport to Namba) The pass can be used to buy discounted entrance fee to Kaiyukan and also free ticket... More

We went on the wheel just around sunset and were treated to an amazing view of Osaka! Unfortunately, photos were somewhat difficult because of rainy conditions.

Generally it is just a ferris wheel but the entry fees are included in the amazing Osaka 2-day pass and it is just next to the Osaka Aquarium. Since we planned to visit the aquarium so we just maximised using the 2-day pass by taking a ride of this ferris wheel.
