Happened to be in town during the week the cherry blossoms were open to the public. A friend from Osaka guided us there and we weren't disappointed. The crowds were heavy, but they did a pretty good job of moving people along and keeping the Chinese tourists from killing others with their selfie sticks. The food/game stalls adjacent to the... A wonderful place to visit if you arrived late in April and missed the main cherry blossom season. Absolutely stunning and the blossoms are at their best, the varieties...even the lime green colour, most beautiful. Do check the opening hours to avoid disappointment.

There are over 300 cherry trees with 100 plus varieties. The trees are tagged in Japanese and people can locate them on the map. The park opened at 10:00 but be mindful that it is closed on the weekends. The crowd can only walk one direction which helps. Yes it was crowded but there were many opportunities for pictures. The... We started walking along the path in front of the mint through the market to enter the mint on the other side , at two seperate entrances we were told by guards we could not exit the walkway into the mint and then we were told to go all the way back to the start to enter the mint, we... More

It was definitely our fault - we should have checked the opening days and hours. Walking all the way from Temmabashi station, we were very confused as to why we fail to find the entrance of this museum. You can imagine our disappointment upon realising that it is closed.

I went there on 9 April 2016. Luckily the place just open for cherry blossoms viewing from 8-14 April 2016. There we can find many varieties of cherry blossoms. It's a good place for cherry blossoms viewing. There are also many local street food stall before the entrance gate.

Way too hot for this activity. It's a bit out of the way and once you get there it's a little disappointing. Our guide explained that Cherry blossom season is the best time to visit. Never mind, maybe next time.

This is the first and only place I did hanami (blossom viewing) while I was in Japan, simply to get the experience of having done it. I'd say it's worth doing once and there are a lot of pretty trees here, but having to move through crowds of people and dodge swinging selfie sticks kind of ruined the supposed peacefulness... More

Japan Mint is not only famous for its minting, but also for its cherry trees. At the beginning of April, the flowering time of cherry, many Japanese people visit here for cherry blossom viewing. To avoid a crush, the visitors are allowed to walk through the premises just in one direction, and this event is called "Torinuke", which means "walk... More
