Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fun little park to do for families, but be aware this is a park for small children under 10 and not anything to do for adults, though we managed to have fun anyway :p

We went on a Monday so it was deserted which was great. I loved that I could rent a ninja costume for my four year old for ¥400. The obstacles were great but not recommended for nervous parents. The staff was wonderful. We had a lot of fun! And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend.

Great medium-size ninja theme park in Togakushi, not far from Chu-sha. It was lots of fun for my children, and also for us parents. The ninja houses were very interesting, specially if you do not plan to go to the larger house in the Folk Museum.

This attraction is a complete waste of time unless you have children. There are several fun things for young kids to do (obstacle course for instance) but the only part about this that is at all for adults is the very good lunch you can get at their restaurant.

Being in the middle of one of Japan's worst heat waves on record it was worth the trip up into the mountains for the scenery and cool air. Price of 500Y for admission includes many fun and age appropriate climbing and ropes activities etc. There is a large extra charge for several activities (eg throwing star knives, ninja house with 'secret' passage way, maze etc) which we did not think were worth the money. Moreover the NInja house and maze were claustrophobic and there seemed to be no fire precautions or cc cameras to supervise, especially a child without an adult who cou;d not find their way out. IN fact, like other things in Japan, safety is not a priority. One of the kids' activities is to climb up on a roof and run along it to the next activity - but there is no fence along the edge of the roof with a drop of 2.5m. Would not be allowed in most Western countries - so beware. Notwithstanding, our 10yo kids enjoyed it. NB: Not open on Thursdays unless it is a Public Holiday. Bus available from Nagano station but it takes over an hour so a car is preferable.
