Hands down the best night club in Kyoto. Lived in Kyoto for 4 years for my undergrad and I went to World soooo many times. The music is good (usually plays all genres) and the staff are super friendly and nice. They also get famous artists from around the world for a decent cover charge (I saw Steve Aoki and R3HAB). Would definitely go whenever I come visit Kyoto again. Thank you for all the amazing memories!

Even though it is a smaller club, it offered great music and was packed with locals wanting to party.
The music was great and the crowd / staff were simply amazing (respectful and friendly), even to foreigners!
Highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a great night to go out and dance.
Beware though, as the club closes around 1:00 AM due to the Kansai "no-dance after 1AM" policy.
Therefore, you shouldn't get there too late!

The first bar was very good and staffed by friendly service staff. However, we were served two fake drinks at the second bar. Apparently, the door to the next room, which was previously open, was also locked. I interpret that as very rude and therefore left. Even if my colleague just accepts this, I don't!

Randomly popped in with my friends to experience how it was like to be clubbing in Japan. Decided on World Kyoto as it was relatively near to us at that moment. It was cheap, we paid 1000Y each to enter which included a drink. The atmosphere and people inside are friendly but we probably should not have went on a weekday, the place was barely packed.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I was groped!!! A man in a business suit came from nowhere and grabbed me under my shirt. I then went straight to security and identified the group of men. Because I couldn't pinpoint the exact man who did it (though I located his group of friends), they offered no help and accused me of crying wolf. The fact that he ran away after he did it is evidence of his guilt. My girlfriend was also groped. Save yourself trouble and feeling violated/unsafe, and do not go here.

Great night out. We have Meet a lot of funny and open minded people. The club was full and the atmosphere blasting. Every one was dancing and having a good time. Unfortunately the music stops at 1pm, which is not a big deal sice the aftershow party takes place at the 10th floor of the same building.

Came here with a new group of friends we met while dining close-by. They invited us so we were intrigued.
It’s in the basement of an old church-looking building.
The music was fun and we stayed for two DJs. We had lots of fun dancing.
There is a smaller room attached if you want to sit down and have a drink.
They have lockers if you have bags you want to store so you can dance.
Beers are $700 and there is a cover.
Had a blast and so glad we went!
